Wang laoshi, as she’s affectionately known by her students, is the founding partner of EduGrove and the creator of its curriculum and teaching methodology. As the Head of Teaching and Curriculum, she is also the master trainer of all EduGrove’s teachers. Wang laoshi is also the main author of the assessment book series “Step-By-Step Chinese Composition” , “O’ Level Chinese Composition Material Review of Popular Topics” and "Step-By-Step Chinese Comprehension"

Wang laoshi has more than 20 years of experience teaching Chinese across all levels. She possesses a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard University and was awarded a Superior Scholarship after graduating in the top 5% of her cohort with a Bachelor of History Degree from Zhejiang University. She started off her career as an educator by serving as an Assistant to the Dean and a Student Mentor in Zhejiang University after graduation.

Following a move to Singapore in 1998, and a few years of donning the Kebaya as a ‘Singapore Girl’, Wang Laoshi returned to her first love, TEACHING! She spent the next 10 years teaching at a renowned enrichment centre chain and was the Head of Mandarin EduDrama Programmes by the time she left the company.

Wang Laoshi is a proud mother of two teenage boys and also a seasoned voiceover artist. Listen out for her voice on television commercials and public service announcements!

JiaJia Laoshi, as fondly known by her students has been with EduGrove for several years. As one of EduGrove’s curriculum writers, she co-authored our assessment book series,“Step-By-Step Chinese Composition”, “O-Level Chinese Composition Material Review of Popular Topics” and “Step-By-Step Chinese Comprehension”. She possesses a Master’s Degree in Language Studies from National University of Singapore (NUS) and Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language & Literature Degree from Beijing Language & Culture University (BLCU) in China.

As our Head of Online Learning, JiaJia Laoshi is equipped with strong technical skills to design our online courses and products. In class, she is a caring and loving teacher whose warmth and sincerity can be felt through the way she tries her best to understand each their unique personality and learning methods. With her motivated personality and years of experience, she has always been one of EduGrove’s most popular teachers.

Feng Yiqin Laoshi has been with EduGrove for several years. She is one of our most popular teachers as she is deemed as one of our PSLE and O-Levels specialists. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Wuhan University and was awarded a scholarship for the top 10% of students for 2 consecutive years. She then came to Singapore and graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Master’s Degree in Asian Studies.

Feng Laoshi’s experience in teaching both Chinese and English composition writing to students aged 9 – 17 years old, as well as teaching Hanyu Pinyin to preschool children, makes her a very versatile teacher with the ability to guide students of all ages and of diverse learning styles. Her bilingualism also allows her to build strong communication with not just the students, but with the parents as well.
